These ships were formerly known as Celebrity Xploration and Celebrity Xpedition. National Geographic – Lindbrad Purchase them from the Celebrity Parade Last summer.
The two ships served National Geographic-Lindblad in February and March. The company’s Galapagos fleet also includes 98 passengers National Geographic II And 48 passengers National Geographic Islander II.
The company said the ceremony included leaders of the cruise line, employees and their families, local VIPs and members of the Galapagos community.
The 48-passenger Gemini has 28 cabins, while the 16-passenger catamaran Delfina has only eight types, making it the most intimate sailing experience in the fleet, said Ana Esteves, senior vice president of hotel operations.
“16 guests mean you can bring your best friends,” she said. “You can have two families renting the boat.”
