Attention Group! We are only over two months away from #Spotlax2025, and we provide you with some details!From September 12 to 14, we will meet again at Los Angeles International Airport. We know many of you are eager to start planning for this year’s event, and we’re here to provide you with some exciting announcements below.
If you’ve never been to Spotlax, it’s a long weekend of Planespotter and Aviation enthusiasts that we’ve been hosting since 2013.
This year, we are once again working with Brett Snyder and Cranky Dorkfest. The gathering will be held on Saturday, September 13.You can find more on this link. You may need to sign up for an email notification while you are there. Brett often hosts some extra events that weekend, all of which will be announced on the blog. The amazing view from the H Los Angeles H roof overlooking Los Angeles International Airport is truly unbeatable. From the 12th floor you can see almost the entire northern complex of the airport, as well as many aircraft. Then there is the rooftop lounge seating, a venue for many discussions about the fine points of commercial aviation. Fear we forget that burning jet fuel and rubber’s ever-present odor can make the atmosphere complete. Plus, the hotel’s centralized location allows you to easily access various other aircraft discovery locations in the area. For the third year in a row, we will host the Spotlax opening party on Friday night with our friends who live streamed live. This very popular event has over 200 aviation enthusiasts gathered on the rooftop deck of H Hotel in the past two years. This is a great way to enjoy the roof for hours without having to spend the night in the hotel. Just like last year, our friends at AVL will be broadcast live from the rooftop that night and serve as our ritual masters. Food and beverages can be purchased. We also have an airplane model raffle like last year.
