Huayhuash Trekkers can have a good idea of where they are heading (Tyler Nachand)
IMG Guide Tyler Nachand reports that the Peruvian team is happy to get into the mountains! Huaraz Town (10,000 feet) will be their base camp in the next few days as they do some adaptive hikes to prepare for the trek. Today, they hiked to Laguna Wilcacocha, above the town, to stretch their legs.

The team had lunch in a cabin owned by our Peru Guide Maximo and could see some of the beautiful views of Huayhuash from the attractions.
