First, the right wing opposes “radical judges”, that is, political judges. Who does more politicization of the political justice system than Republicans, especially Trump? Six of the nine Supreme Court judges follow the party’s strict discipline, i.e. their toes, even more important than Republicans in Congress.
Second, all discussions about “cancel culture”. Who can practice more culture than Trump with unanimous support from Chinese Republicans in Congress? What else can be done to cancel culture than pursuing students who protest the starvation of the entire people, namely the Palestinians in Gaza? What about Stephen Colbert’s sack?
Third, Republicans should be decent people who follow the norms of conduct, while Democrats do not limit it. Republicans were so self-righteous in the days of Monica Lewinsky. Now, they are upset by the numerous allegations of sexual harassment against Trump. The way the times change!
Fourth, for Republicans, the family should be sacred. So why do they break down so many immigrant families and split the kids from moms and put them in a cage?
Politicians are notorious for their double standards, but things have reached new extremes among Republicans in the Trump era.
